Swimming sports
Go Cooper, Go Ngata, Go Mansfield.
Splash, boom, oh my gosh! It’s cold!
It’s our Swimming Sports! The Swimming
Sports was held on the 7th of March in our swimming pool. We had a
beautiful and scorching sunny day.
There were relays, competitive and non-competitive
activities so that everyone could participate. Non-competitive participants had
fun games in the water. For the first game, they had a white barrel which one
person had to float on while two other people had to push the barrel to the
other side and back. For the second game, they had 8 people from each whanau,
and with a rope, they had to pull one person to the other side of the pool and
back.
There was some crazy, cool, fantastic
and amazing dancing coming from some girls and boys, Miss Lim and Ms Koraua.
Lots of people were cheering. There were also parents shouting out for their
children. The sausages were delicious and juicies and moosies were on sale because
it was a hot day.
Mansfield came first with points but
it doesn’t matter because we are still the best. Finally, it was the end of the
day. We were all exhausted but we didn’t want it to end. It was the best swimming
sports day ever! As soon as we got home, we hit the bed with a loud bang and
went to sleep and others probably did too!
